Mail

Mail you wish to post can be given to your nurse or ward clerk or taken to the mail boxes in the Lobby. The Information Desk in the Main Lobby sells stamps.

Fidelis House

Fidelis House Society, located on the Valley Regional Hospital grounds, is a volunteer non-profit organization, which provides a home-away-from-home for all patients and their families within the Annapolis Valley District.  Overnight accommodation is available at a reasonable fee. You may make reservations by calling 679-6567.  Special circumstances may warrant other arrangements which can be made through the Nurse Manager or the Shift Coordinator.

Auxiliary

Members of Valley Regional Hospital Auxiliary provide a variety of services throughout the hospital, including: the Gift Shop, Art Gallery, and Library Cart. Profits from these programs and various fund raising events, such as the Fall Fair, are used to purchase equipment for the hospital.

Foundation

Since 1986, Valley Regional Hospital Foundation (VRHF), a non-profit charitable organization, has raised over $14 million to support Valley Regional Hospital (VRH) and other health care programs. Its mission is to raise and administer funds to improve and promote health and quality healthcare at Valley Regional Hospital.

Library

Library Cart service offers a good selection of magazines and paperback books. The cart is taken to waiting rooms and the lobby each week. Upon discharge, patients are asked to leave library material at the nursing station.

Volunteer Services

Volunteers provide a multitude of personal services for patients and carry out a number of important tasks for the hospital. You will see them wearing their distinctive red jackets throughout the hospital.  Volunteers operate the Information Desk in the Main Lobby and assist patients and staff in most areas of the hospital. In addition, they perform clerical duties in various departments.
