Dr. Clarke practices Orthopaedic Surgery at the Valley Regional Hospital.  He entered a residency program in Orthopaedic Surgery at Dalhousie University in 1982 completing his training in 1986.  He practiced Orthopedic Surgery in Sydney, Nova Scotia between August 1987 until December 1988; established a general orthopaedic practice at the Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver from January 1989 until April 2000.  He returned to Nova Scotia to practice at the Valley Regional Hospital in May 2000.

He has served as Head of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Lions Gate Hospital from July 1994-June 1998.

Dr. Connelly practices Orthopaedic Surgery at the Valley Regional Hospital.  After receiving his medical degree he practiced with the Armed Forces CFB Gagetown 1970-72 and CFH Halifax 1972-73.  He joined the orthopaedic surgical staff at Valley Regional Hospital in 1976.

He has served as Head of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Valley Regional Hospital from 1976-2002; President Medical Staff, Chair Section of Orthopaedic Surgery for the Medical Society of Nova Scotia; and, President of the Sport Medicine Council of Nova Scotia.

He was the former President Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival, served on medical team for five Canada Games and two FISU Games and was Medical Officer for International Junior Figure Skating Championships in the Ukraine and for International Ladies Wrestling Championships in Poland.
