Addiction Services| Orientation to Addiction Services (OAS)

A three hour workshop that examines the services offered by Addiction Services. Participants will learn about substance use and gambling, be provided with an overview of how our service thinks about issues related to substance use and gambling, and explore many myths related to alcohol, prescription drug and other drug use and gambling. The impact of addiction on families is also discussed. This workshop is recommended for anyone who is interested in information about Addiction Services and/or potential clients who want to be oriented to where and how they would fit into programming. This population may include those who are now using alcohol or drugs, have used alcohol or drugs harmfully in the past, family members, and concerned significant others.

Pre-registration is not required. Participants are expected to be alcohol/drug free during the workshop.
