International Travel Clinic

The International Travel Clinic offer consultations and vaccines for people traveling outside of Canada. Based on multiple factor including: age, immunization status, pre-existing medical conditions, destination and local conditions it may be advised to receive additional vaccines.

BRIDGEWATER & AREA FAMILY HEALTH CLINIC
This is an outpatient clinic directed by Cardiology and lead by a Nurse (RN/NP) with specialty training in Chronic Heart Failure (CHF).
This clinic offers outpatient education for patients and family caregivers living with CHF. Two referral options are available for patients in this clinic: Referrals must be initiated by a physician or nurse practitioner.

Live and Learn (Cardiovascular Health Educational Class)

A program for persons with history of stroke, heart attack, TIA (mini-stroke), angina or risk factors for stroke and heart attack. Persons can register for this free 2-hour class offered on the 4th Monday every other month at 1pm. Participants will learn about risk factors, nutiriton and healthy eating, exercise and activity, and what happens to the body during a heart attack or stroke. Available at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Digby Hospital, Roseway Hospital and the Clare Health Centre via telehealth.

Cardiovascular Clinic

The cardiovascular clinic (Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Digby Hospital, Roseway Hospital) in South West Health aims to work with people who have experienced stroke, TIA (transient ischemic attack), and myocardial infarction. People can contact the clinic directly or have their family physician refer them. The cardiovascular clinic evolved out of the stroke clinic where all stroke patients discharged in South West Health were automatically referred to the clinic. This clinic has expanded and broadened to a cardiovascular scope.
