Health care close to home. Ezra’s story

John, Ezra and Lisa Andrews are grateful for care close to home.

You’d never know four-year-old Ezra Andrew had severe and frequent ear infections. He’s happy, outgoing and loves to talk!

Before his surgery to place tubes in his ears, Ezra was in constant pain, and the fluid in his ears caused major hearing problems. At his age, hearing issues can cause delays in language, school troubles and learning difficulties. His parents John and Lisa appreciate that he can have this surgery done so close to home.

In 2016, through the generosity of our donors, the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation raised over $210,000 to purchase two surgical microscopes, one for Ear, Nose and Throat surgery (to allow kids like Ezra to have surgical procedures with the most up-to-date equipment) and one for ophthalmology.

The Valley Regional Hospital Foundation is so happy to have these two pieces of equipment in regular use, to help thousands of community member across the Valley and beyond.
