Family Physician: Spryfield (Spryfield Family Medicine Clinic)

Calling Nova Scotia home means ocean views, active living and welcoming communities. Practicing here means working with passionate colleagues, providing world class care, and helping people be healthy and stay healthy, for generations. The Nova Scotia Health Authority provides health services to Nova Scotians and some specialized services to Atlantic Canadians. We operate hospitals, health centres and collaborative community-based programs across the province.

The Central Zone is supported by the largest health care facilities in the province, The Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, the Nova Scotia Hospital, Dartmouth General, and East Hants Community Center as well as a host of community hospitals, health centres and services. Central Zone is home to Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia’s medical school and with whom we share academic appointments and learners.

Halifax is one of North America’s oldest cities, full of culture, night life, and charm. The small city pairs cosmopolitan night life and restaurants with down home hospitality for an unforgettable experience that puts it among the best places in the world. Connected to its bayside neighbor, Dartmouth, by two harbor bridges and four ferry boats, the city is built around a historic Citadel that is maintained as a National Park and Monument. The zone extends from the Musquodoboit Valley to Windsor, the alleged birthplace of hockey and home to the largest pumpkins around. Speaking of hockey, this area is home to Sydney Crosby and the Halifax Mooseheads Quebec Junior League Hockey and the centre for many sports programs for adults and young people. Let’s not forget the world class surfing and kite surfing scene in one of the area’s many white sand beaches. This region is the best of Canadian metropolitan living, with housing affordability and a low stress commute not found in other Canadian cities.
