Medical Students and Residents Privileges

The medical students and residents privileges application and credentialing process is coordinated through the VP Medicine Office.  Medical students and residents from Dalhousie University are able to obtain an application  online or from their respective Program Director's office.

Should a medical resident be interested in applying for privileges with a defined license he/she must fill out a medical staff application  with its requirements as well as a standard reference letter.

Upon receipt of a completed application and appropriate documentation, the preceptor and VP Medicine will review the application.  The District MAC will be informed of all student rotations.  The VP Medicine advises the student and preceptor of its decision.

The VP Medicine and Privileges Review Committee will make monthly reports to the Board.
