Until you Find a Family Doctor

Annapolis Valley Health is aggressively recruiting for family doctors. Unfortunately, there are fewer family doctors than patients, many residents still go without and have to rely on our clinics until more arrive.

Patient Safety is our highest priority! We encourage patients without Family Physicians to utilize the following clinics:

Community Walk-In Clinics

We promise, when we know new physicians arrive or hear of others taking patients, we'll send this news far and wide!

Note: As new physicians set up medical practices in the District, the AVH Office of the VP Medicine will update a list of family physicians currently accepting new patients. There may be delays between when a physician stops taking patients and when their name is removed from the list.

Family Physicians are independent professionals and choose how to develop and restrict their family practice. Some may practice part-time or full-time and some may or may not provide all services.
