With more than 25 years of clinical nursing and administrative experience in acute care and community care, Tim Guest has worked in urban academic centers and rural regionalized health systems. He joined Annapolis Valley Health as vice-president in 2009, adding chief nursing officer to his role in 2011. Prior to this, he held senior executive positions at Peace Country Health in Alberta. He has extensive experience in health system planning, including the implementation of a provincial clinical IT project. Tim holds a master of Business Administration in Executive Management with a specialization in Leadership from Royal Roads University, and a bachelor of science in Nursing from the University of Alberta. He also has an adjunct appointment with the Dalhousie School of Nursing. Tim is a member of the College of Health Leaders and a surveyor with Accreditation Canada. He has also held positions on the council of the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia, College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta, and is currently the President-elect of the Canadian Nurses Association.
