For 20 years, Colin Stevenson has built experience in health care management and leadership. He has worked in private and public sector with roles in facilities management consulting, long-term care, health authority operations and project/transformation management. In 2001, Colin joined Colchester East Hants Health Authority as vice-president of Operations, providing leadership for corporate and support services, strategic and operational planning and facility and service transformation, including the construction of the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Since 2012, he has held provincial roles as general manager for Merged Services Nova Scotia and project management lead for the District Health Authority Consolidation Transition and Design Team. In April of 2015 Colin joined the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) as the Transformation Executive Lead where he has been responsible for managing and executing a multi-year initiative for the transformation of health services and the redesign of organizational structure of the NSHA. Colin is an executive member for the Bluenose Chapter of the Canadian College of Health Leaders, an advisory council member with the Nova Scotia node of Emerging Health Leaders, and a mentor with Dalhousie University’s Health Administration program, from which he himself graduated in 1994.
